Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
1. Overview
My Habit Loop ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at myhabitloop.com.
Our core principle is simple: your data belongs to you. My Habit Loop uses a local-first, zero-data architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal habit data.
2. Data Storage
All habit loops, planner data, progress statistics, and user profiles are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device.
- We have no access to your habit data.
- No accounts or sign-ups are required.
- No data is sent to any server or third party.
- Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your habit data.
We recommend using the Export feature to back up your data regularly.
3. Information We Collect
While we do not collect your habit data, we may collect limited information through third-party services:
3a. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our website. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device type, and browsing behavior. This data helps us improve our services. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Privacy Policy and opt out using available browser tools.
3b. Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your browsing behavior. For more information, see How Google Uses Information from Sites That Use Our Services.
3c. Newsletter & Waitlist
If you voluntarily submit your email address through our newsletter or Pro waitlist forms, your email is sent to hello@myhabitloop.com via our Hostinger email server. We use your email only to:
- Send habit-building tips and feature updates (newsletter)
- Notify you of My Habit Loop Pro availability (waitlist)
You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us at hello@myhabitloop.com.
4. Cookies & Consent
My Habit Loop itself does not set any cookies. However, third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set cookies as described above. By continuing to use our website, you consent to the use of these third-party cookies.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of third-party services but will not impact your ability to use My Habit Loop's core features.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:
- Right of Access — You may request information about what personal data we process.
- Right to Rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure — You may request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Restrict Processing — You may request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to Data Portability — You may request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Right to Object — You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Because My Habit Loop stores all habit data locally on your device, we do not hold any of your personal habit data. For any data collected via newsletter/waitlist signups, you can exercise these rights by contacting us at hello@myhabitloop.com.
6. Your Rights Under CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to Know — You may request details about the personal information we collect and how it is used.
- Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@myhabitloop.com.
7. Data Security
Our local-first architecture is inherently privacy-preserving. Since your habit data is stored only on your device, there is no risk of server-side data breaches for your personal information. Our website is served over HTTPS to encrypt all data in transit.
8. Children's Privacy
My Habit Loop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@myhabitloop.com.
